Welcome to Redeemer Health Care Center
A full life today, peace of mind for tomorrow
Since 1946, Redeemer Health Care Center has faithfully served generations of Minneapolis, Minnesota, seniors by providing high quality skilled nursing care. Located in the Lyn-Lakes neighborhood on a bus line, Redeemer is near restaurants, churches and medical and professional services.
Redeemer is a wellness-focused, health care community that combines warmth and hospitality with the expertise of caring professionals. Our many levels of skilled care make Redeemer ideal for those requiring 24-hour skilled nursing with the full range of long-term care, hospice care and short-term transitional care for those recovering from surgery, illness or injury.
An exceptional intergenerational community
Located within Redeemer Health Care Center is Grandma’s House Children’s Center, a Christian child care and early learning center for children six weeks to ten years old. A nurturing loving environment, Grandma’s House is staffed with educated, caring teachers and features small class sizes, home-like atmosphere and large outdoor spaces.
Regularly scheduled interactions between the skilled nursing residents and the children is uniquely priceless and valued by both generations.
A rich heritage
In 1946, a big step of faith was taken by Rev. Raymond A. Chapman and his wife Hope to begin a home where elderly and medically-challenged adults could be cared for in a setting which would also provide for their spiritual needs. Rev. Chapman’s desire was to make available a place where adults could experience “the finest care in the happiest physical and spiritual surroundings.” Their vision was born in the belief that God would provide every need as they moved forward.
The home opened October 1, 1946, with room for 18 residents and staffed by three employees. Today, Redeemer Health Care Center stands as a tribute to their vision and to God, who provides for those in need.
“If anyone serves, they should do so with the
strength God provides, so that in all things God
may be praised through Jesus Christ.”
